The weekly net and monthly meeting for Skamania County ARES have been added to the calendar.

Updated Monday, 1/23/23 Please read the entire Blog below. Skamania County ARES will be operating on 2m at 146.580 simplex (no repeaters are allowed for this contest.) We will also be operating on 160, 80, 40, 20, 15, 10 and 6m using modes: CW, SSB and Digital (PSK31 and JS8call). For those interested in seeing the Skamania County Emergency Operating Center (EOC) you are welcome to stop by Saturday, 1/28, between 1pm and 4pm only. The address is 200 Vancouver Ave., Stevenson, Washington 98648. The EOC is located under the Sheriff’s office and you can enter between the two county building and down the stairs. You can call in on 146.580 or knock on the door. Please do not enter the Sheriff’s office for access to the EOC. K7DTS, Don
Skamania County ARES (SCARES), W7SKA, will be participating this year for the first time in the Winter Field Day event. This is not sponsored by ARRL but very similar rules to ARRL Field Day in June.

On April 8, 2023 at 10:00am, Radio Amateurs of the Gorge will be hosting a licensing exam session at the Hood River Fire Fire Department. Cost is $15 for those 18 and older.

AB7A will be hosting an introduction/orientation to Hood River County ARES at the Hood River Fire Fire Department at 1900 on October 3.
The Radio Amateurs of the Gorge monthly meeting for September has been moved from the 10th to the 17th to accommodate the Midnight Rider Endurance Ride. It will be held via Zoom.

It’s back! The Radio Amateurs of the Gorge will be hosting a Technician license class November 18-19 at the Hood River Fire Station, with exams being given on the afternoon of the 19th.
Note: the exam session is also open to anyone wishing to upgrade their license! Exam fee is $15, with the club covering testing costs for anyone under 18.
